Easter

Happy Easter!!!
Well, its supposed to me a day of celebrating but I woke up in very bad pain around my port incision. I Hope this pain will go away soon. The pain is unbearable and last only 30 seconds to a minute at a time. I know its the muscle where the port is sewed into but OMG it HURTS like nothing I ever felt before.

Red and Sore

Good morning! I woke up and in some pain. I think I slept on my belly last night... ouch! My port incision just feels like its on FIRE sometimes. Its a little red and its not going away.
I'm going to call the doctor to see if he can get me on antibiotics and if they will give me more pain meds. I know, I know, the pain meds should be working but they aren't doing that great of a job. I get my girls back today and I'm really excited that they are coming home! I have missed them so much and I'm sure they are confused. I go to work on Monday so I have 2 days to get them on my schedule! It's gonna be FUN!

Surgery

Yes, I did it. I bit the bullet and did it! I had Lap Band surgery on March 29, 2010. The process was fairly easy as my insurance didn't make me run through all the hoops that a lot of other people have to do! I started the process in Jan and had my surgery in March. So far so good, I have no regrets. I am now 4 days post op and I'm feeling pretty good. I still have some pain with the port incision but other than that, I'm good. I have some awesome pain meds! I'm just so excited about this decision I made and the outcome that will surely emerge! I actually can't believe that I did it! I have a tool inside of me that will help me lose weight AND keep it off! It's exciting, isn't it? I have to laugh because I'm not even sure if anyone will ever read this. It's funny to think that anyone would even "want" to read about boring me. I guess I'm really doing this for me... so that I can record my journey and look back at my ups and downs. Kind of like a diary. We will see!
